Xtract™, Sheffield

A site in Sheffield was being redeveloped into a car park, but there was a problem: Japanese knotweed. To make it more complicated, the knotweed was located on a bank between the site and a main-line railway track with a HV electricity cable running through it.

Environet recommended their Xtract™ method, to remove the 756 cubic metres of knotweed infested soil.  Using this method rather than a Dig & Dump solution, gave the client significant cost savings, and reduced waste to landfill.

A 5 year insurance backed guarantee (IBG) was issued, enabling the development of the car park to go ahead. The client was secure in the knowledge that the problem had been dealt with professionally.
