William Joy

Consultant

I started my career in 2002 building and restoring traditional wooden boats on the river Thames.

In 2010, I then found myself working for a weed control company who also undertook commercial and domestic landscaping. This is where I first came into contact with Japanese knotweed and sparked an interest in the plant. Following upon my interest  I then moved to a Japanese knotweed removal company where I was an excavation supervisor working in small back gardens excavating a cubic meter to huge multi million pound commercial sites excavating 1500+ cubic meters.

This gave me a great understanding of Japanese knotweed and I find this helps when talking to clients about their knotweed and recommending the perfect solution to deal with the issue.

I made the decision to join Environet in May 2017.

In my home life I enjoy spending time with my wife and my two young sons. When I am not with my family I am usually found messing around with cars or motorcycles.
