We’re very proud of our Regional Director Emily Grant who not only passed the Property Care Association’s CSJK (Certificated Surveyor of Japanese Knotweed) exam but scored the highest mark of the year! She was awarded a plaque for her efforts at the annual PCA Conference on 21st November.

There’s not much Emily doesn’t know about Japanese knotweed, having been out in the field leading teams for Environet since 2015, but it’s a huge achievement to come top out of all the people who sat the exam across the country in 2018.

The CSJK is the official examination for Japanese knotweed professionals and consists of a 2.5 hour written paper, followed by a 20-minute identification test and a 20-minute oral exam. It tests practitioners on current legislation around Japanese knotweed, biosecurity, control and treatment options and waste management and is the only gold-stamped accreditation for professionals in our sector.

Emily said: “I’m so pleased to have achieved the highest mark of the year! You never stop learning in this job though and I’m looking forward to continuing to grow my knowledge and experience while offering the best possible service to our clients in the south.”
